Tried to reply to your msg but realized it was a “do not reply”. I hope you will get this. My dad was part of the 340th Infantry, A Corp who built the Alcan Alaskan Highway. So excited to hear you liked the history. I have a full book about his unit and what they did in Alaska.
Saw your comment about Alacan Alaskan Highway. Tried to email you but I don’t think I was successful. Wanted you to know that my dad was part of A Company Army Corp of Engineers during World War II in 1942 who built that highway. So excited that you found the history interesting. Heard lots of stories about Alaska, the Yukon, White Horse, etc. while growing up. I have a big yearbook with lots of pictures of his time in Alaska during 1942-43. Wish I could have visited the area with him while he was still alive.
That is so amazing! We literally got to enjoy the work of your father’s hands! You should definitely go up and visit it someday, it is hard to believe what they endured to complete that road. Thank you for being such a faithful follower and I look forward to seeing you soon! Love, Sharon
