Our paths to Honduras started out independently; long before we met. Sharon’s first trip to Honduras was in 1995 and Chris in 2001. Over the years we helped install clean water systems, spent time immersed in the culture, lived with the poor, engaged in discipleship, and grew in our relationship with Jesus. In 2003 we moved to rural Honduras and began working in ministry full-time. Chris taught high school classes and Sharon worked as a nurse. We married in 2005!

We returned to the United States in 2009 and Sharon became a Family Nurse Practitioner. Our intention was to return to Honduras better equipped to serve. Sharon also worked as a cancer nurse and Chris continued teaching. We then spent three years in California working and saving money to fund our epic motorcycle trip. We began that adventure in 2018 and traversed all of the Americas! We had been dreaming and planning this trip for over 12 years. It was an incredible life-affirming experience!

We believe with all our hearts in the teachings of Jesus and attempt to reflect His love to those around us. For us, that is primarily done by working to meet the practical needs of healthcare and education. In January of 2021 we returned to Honduras and began full-time ministry again. Sharon works as a nurse and nurse practitioner and Chris as a principal and teacher at a primary school. We live in the rural village of Urraco.
